Excitement over a red bra

There are a quite few things that make my wife happy and one of them is having a bra that fits. For those that are not familiar with me and my blog Full Figure Plus, one of the reasons I started blogging was to help my wife and other plus size women find comfortable affordable bra and panty sets.

Up until six months ago it was normal for her to spend between forty and fifty dollars each on bras. She would have to have them custom fitted and made at a local lingerie shop here in Little Rock called Barbara Graves. Though expensive they fit her well and that was the important part. The drawback was the fact that the only colors available where black or white. The panty would match in color but it wasn’t always made for the bra.

Though she wouldn’t complain that much she would sometimes mention to me, "Why is it that a 42HH bra can be made but there are no matching panties?" I have wondered this for years myself, if anyone has a clear answer we would like to know.

When it came to stores like Lane Bryant there sizes stopped at a 40DDD, which left her hanging until last year when Charming Shoppes opened up the Cacique stores and expanded there sizes.

I was working in my office and heard her shout at the fact that she would finally be able to buy a bra off the shelf. When I went to the other computer to look she showed me the red bra that you see in the picture came in a 42G and that she was excited to try it out.

When it came in the mail a few days later she was so happy to not only have a bra that fit but for the first time in her life she was wearing a red bra with a matching panty. In the 15 years that we have been together it wasn’t until last month that I had ever seen her in a matching set that wasn’t black or white. I guess you can say I was just as excited for her as she was excited for herself.

The best part about her having a red bra that fits is that she no longer has to spend three to five hundred dollars a year and only have 4-6 bras to show. She spent just under two hundred dollars and has eight bras to show. Other colors that have been added to her lingerie drawer include brown, pink and purple.

She is a different woman now when she gets dressed. I always knew that a proper fitting colorful bra can bring joy but I had never seen it before on my wives face. Now that I have seen it I want to make sure that that level of excitement stays in tact. Thank you little red bra.
