Laura is the Director of Marketing for a 300 bed Skilled Nursing Facility and Short Term Rehabilitation Center in Westchester County, New York.  Laura has worked in many different capacities for various rehabilitation facilities and her work spans over 20 years..  Laura is also a trained Chef who has been catering and doing event planning for over 25 years.  Laura participated in Big Beautiful Women pagent and came in as a third runner up.  She has done large women’s modeling off and on for over 20 years.  Laura is thrilled to be contributing to this blog for women with substance!!!

 Once upon a time, Kelly published a magazine called "SmartWoman," whose tag-line was, "Because Smart is Beautiful." That summarizes both her personal identity and her life’s goal - to make women see their value in WHO they are not HOW THEY’RE PACKAGED! Kelly has been chubby all her life and have ranged as an adult from a buff size 16 (think Marilyn Monroe with more muscles) to her current luscious size 28. Writing this blog makes Kelly feel like a champion for all of us, non-stick women. Being "About Curves" means we identify ourselves by and are proud of, our curvy bodies…even if they’re not Victoria’s Secret version of curvy.  Kelly loves her publishing career, her two rotten dogs and two great step-kids.  Plus, this August, she’ll mark her 8th year of marriage to the most wonderful man on the planet.

Sarah lives and works in Malta, the most beautiful island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Computing, and currently works as a web marketer for an international software company.  Sarah’s passions in life are poetry, traveling and websites! She won’t go as far to say that she is a fashion addict, but she does love fashion and keeping herself in tune with what’s going on around in the plus size fashion industry.  In addition to writing for About Curves blog, Sarah owns the plus size fashion resources website pasazz.net.

Glen is the Owner and President of Full Figure Network, Inc. a company that is dedicated to things related to plus size men and women. Currently I have two plus size related blogs.  Full Figure Plus mainly covers clothing, accessories and shopping links.  Curvy Silhouettes covers information related to plus size modeling.

 

 

The Real Women of About Curves: Our Executive Team

Robin is proud to own aboutcurves.com with her daughter, KC. She feels that the perspectives from different generations brought by their partnership, as well as by their relationship, help everyone involved with aboutcurves.com to have a fuller understanding of the mission and goals of the company. Never content to just sit in the “owner’s box," Robin loves her hands-on involvement with day-to-day operations, especially talking to customers and assisting them with finding the perfect piece of lingerie to help them celebrate their curves.

 

KC likes to be busy and, in addition to her work as co-owner of About Curves, she also teaches English at the university-level. Her job is to make customers’ shopping experience seamless, working behind the scenes on the Internet to make sure that happens. KC really enjoys finding new styles of lingerie to bring to the plus-size community, and is always working with designers to make sure that the lingerie shown on About Curves is as flattering as possible. KC says, “My goal is to make other women feel as sexy as possible about themselves. We have difficult lives, balancing all of the demands of work and family, and we deserve to indulge in ourselves and be happy."

Andrea joined the aboutcurves.com team in January 2005 as the Customer Care Manager. She loves that her job is to make sure that you are happy with every aspect of your aboutcurves.com experience.
